New powers granted US Immigration and Customs Enforcement allow for raids by ICE. They have new authority to apprehend, detain, interrogate, arrest, and incarcerate. Asylum applicants and other immigration cases, including some in which exits have already been agreed, are apprehended and deported, even despite previous court agreements. American citizens (usually ethnic minorities) are also being detained.
